This blog will mostly focus on the Vetus Latina or older Latin translations of the Bible.
- mostly = While the older Latin textual tradition is the focus of this blog, I will not guarantee that we won’t get diverted by other interesting topics!
- older Latin translations = I will generally limit our conversations to the Latin translations of the Bible earlier than the mid-5th century CE.
- Latin translations = I am yet to be convinced that there was a single original Latin translation of the Bible (or of individual books).
This blog will not be a finished piece of work. It will be a place to float ideas, store and display data, provide links to resources and maybe even provide a springboard for a community of like-minded people.
